Since joining Arenson, Dittmar & Karban in 2019, Avi has represented thousands of clients in numerous wage-and-hour and discrimination matters, including successfully briefing and arguing cases before the Appellate Division, First Department, the US Bankruptcy Court of the Southern District of New York, and the District Courts of the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He has represented both individual and multiple plaintiffs in claims for discrimination based on race, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, religion, age and disability and for claims of retaliation. Avi has also repeatedly been approved as class counsel in wage-and-hour class actions including in New York and New Jersey federal courts and New York state court. He has authored two articles for the American Bar Association’s Labor and Employment newsletter, as well.

From January 2013 through February 2018 Avi served as General Counsel of the Alliance Time family of companies that included Ashford.com, an internet retailer with annual revenues of approximately $100 million.  As General Counsel of Alliance Time, he oversaw all Legal matters related to the company, including assisting outside counsel with litigation.

Avi is a 2012 graduate of Georgetown Law School.  He was admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 2012 and the New York Bar in 2013.
