Tenzing Mingmar

Tenzing is a graduate of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law of Yeshiva University. He is committed to fighting for social justice and civil rights. Given his background as a Tibetan refugee from India, it isn’t hard to guess where Tenzing’s passion and dedication towards helping those in need comes from.

During law school, Tenzing interned at the New York Legal Assistance Group’s Storm Response Unit where he assisted families impacted by Hurricane Sandy in a variety of legal matters such as foreclosure, homeowner’s insurance, contractor disputes, and disaster benefits. He also participated in the Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic at Queens Legal Services advocating on the behalf of low-income taxpayers before the IRS. He also served as a Staff Editor for the Cardozo Journal of International and Comparative Law.
